This book is likely not for everyone. If you like honest, plainspoken, blunt advice, and some colorful language, this might be the book for you. It takes some of the stigma out of mental illness, with the author talking more as a friend than delivering lectures on what steps to take.
None of the information is exactly “new” in this book. Many of the other books on dealing with anxiety cover the same ground, often in more detail. The strength of this anxiety book is the unique delivery of details in such an easygoing manner. The lack of scientific jargon makes this eminently readable and able to reach everyone. A great read for anyone who likes plain speaking and honest hard truths.
